Ai sat at the table. Kyle would be here soon. He came here every before work to get coffee. She fingered the shiny mug on the glass table and looked out the window. Any second now. A car pulled up which she recognized. A tall teen stepped out and Ai felt her heart beat hard. It was him.

Kyle strode delicately across the carpeted floor of his room and peered at Josh with a dismal expression. His lanky frame lay contorted among a chaotic mess of sheets, one hand brushing the ground as he snored loudly into the darkness. Kyle uttered a tiny sigh at the sight and turned again to his closet. His brother was the least of his worries in all of this. Last night he had happened upon an unusual exchange, one that now kept him weary in his current journey. The house, on his return from work, had been filled with a strange silence, the only noise being that of a frantic whispering from upstairs. As he had ventured toward the noise, a sudden hush overtook the scene and a curious pair of faces peered at him from the landing. His brother and sister had stared at him with twin expressions of forced calm and anticipation, the keen resemblance filling him with a momentary sense of loneliness. Even in appearance he was segregated from them. Kyle had recovered quickly enough and brushed by them, easily gleaning much of the conspiracy from Josh, who had been rehearsing the plan greedily in his mind: They were going to follow him. The idea was undoubtedly Nathan's, but even more obvious was the fact that they had agreed. Kyle had frowned at them as he closed the door and walked into the room in which he now stood, hours later, debating. It was too late to call Allie and reschedule now, but he was worried what the beast might do of she was left unattended. He had found no hint of revenge in his siblings' memory of the plan, but Nathan wouldn't let them know of that controversial detail until it was too late anyway. They were just as clueless as he in that respect. Hangers chimed loudly on the rack as Kyle ran his hand through the collection of crisp shirts. His adversary was listening from the other room . He had to keep Nathan confident of his presence lest the boy go after her prematurely. He just needed time to think. He continued to sort through the clothing over and over, maintaining the noise at a believable rate. It was troublesome not being able to hear the fox's thoughts. Animals operated on a different wavelength entirely, and Nathan used this shamelessly to his advantage. He frowned again and stopped suddenly. What was it that this paltry little boy could do? Why did he feel the need to be cautious around the conspirator? Was he just unaccustomed to this weak point in his power, or was there some validation to his careful measure? Nathan had thus managed to turn his siblings against him and seemed to have no rational limit in his fight for revenge. He had found out about this trip and even a way to exploit it. Childish prank or not, this was a matter to be taken seriously. Kyle could easily crush any attempt at Allie's harm, but what if Nathan got to her first? He couldn't put her at that risk, but it would be worse not to show up. She had no idea what was coming. His hands tightened into fists as he tore a few hangers from the rack and went swiftly to the bathroom to change. That monster... He had no morals. No limitations. Kyle suppressed the rising urge to pulverize the fox and finished dressing in complete darkness. He had to be prudent now that there was more at stake than himself. He reached out to the doorknob and let himself out of the room, fully aware that Nathan was attending to his every step just inside his sister's closed door. He froze in his tracks, the cherubic face of his sister appearing in his mind as she slept soundly in the midst of that devil. No.. Jessica was beyond saving. He went soundlessly to the stairs. He had pleaded with her, but she had made her choice. She had chosen the enemy, and now he wasn't the time for useless endeavors. He glanced quickly, longingly to the door, but tore away to continue his rush down the stairs. Allie needed him now. She had not abandoned him like the others, and there was no way that he would let her down.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Kyle glanced around the parking lot as he pulled into a space near the front and noted the presence of only one other car in the customer parking lot. Allie wasn't here yet. She wasn't due for another thirty minutes, but he still felt anxiety building in her absence. There was no way that Nathan would track her down, but he might just intercept her before she could make it into the shop. Kyle wondered for a moment about waiting in the car before forcing himself to let go. He had to pretend that everything was normal. Once he had Allie safely in reach, he would be able to relax. Until then, he would just have to be on guard. Kyle straightened up and got out of the vehicle, his slate orbs scanning the area for any sign of the spies. Josh had been dead asleep when he left. That alone should buy him a good quarter of an hour. If she got here before them, they would be free escape and enjoy the day. It may take a bit of explaining, but he would come up with something. Smiling wearily, Kyle made his way into the store and ignored the gaze of the other customer as he dropped into the booth next to hers.

(The Gym) Rain began to fall thick and fast onto the paved streets outside the Gym, but Kikyo didn’t notice she just buried her head deeper into her soaked sweat-shirt. She was crying, and for a crazy reason too. Kikyo was crying because at last her birthday had come, she was now 18 which meant she was on her own, she was kicked out of the childcare system and all she had now was a few hundred bucks saved up. Hopefully she could stay with Miroku and Usagi for a while but how long would that last? Kikyo couldn’t get her own place and she could only stay with friends for so long. Kikyo cried harder, the situation really stunk, how would she get by? I might have to quit school. She thought sadly. She had hoped to become friendly again with Josh and Kyle, they might have been able to help her but it was too late for that, they hated her and wouldn’t help her, they wouldn’t give a damn (Suz the French). As the rain began to come down harder still Kikyo felt someone touch her shoulder, “Hay Kik, it’s a cruddy day, why don’t we get some coffee?” Sanna asked. Without waiting for an answer she pulled Kikyo to her feet and began leading her to a waiting car.
(Starbucks) Kikyo felt herself being pulled into the small Starbucks and was only partly aware of her surrounding, she didn’t even notice that she and Sanna were dripping wet from the heavy downpour outside, she began to shiver and sneeze as Sanna directed her to an open table next to a rain pelted window facing the door. Though she did notice as Sanna forced a small cocoa into her hands, “Drink up,” At the same time she felt Hope, her small rabbit hiding in the pocket nuzzle her hand. Kikyo took a sip then rested her chin against her arm which was lying on the table, she felt another tear sliding down her cheek.

Kikyo shook some of the water that was dripping onto the table, "Oh, sorry Hope," she sneezed noticing that she had gotten water all over the small rabbit. She took her sleeve and wiped the fuzzy rabbit over so he wasn’t so wet. He couldn’t catch a cold like her it could kill something so small. Kikyo sneezed again and gazed over to where Sanna was, she was leaning on the counter ordering some sort of brownie thing, no doubt for Kikyo herself. She scowled, it was nice for her friends to feel sorry for her but sometimes it got annoying. Wiping away another tear Kikyo heard Hope give a small sneeze and she decided to get a napkin to dry Hopen off completely. “It will be better to be dry won’t it?” she cooed to the bunny. Kikyo stood up and began to make her away around the numerous tables toward the napkin stand. Reaching it Kikyo grabbed a small stack and began wiping Hope off. “That’s better isn’t it?” she asked with a sniff. She turned around still looking down at Hope when she heard voices around her; she hadn’t noticed people here until now. Then she noticed someone that would either make her Birthday cheerier or ruin it even more. Before she could say anything though Kikyo sneezed, dang, I am getting a cold. I hope Kyle’s not mad at me, everyone else is. “Oh, hi Kyle. How are you?” she looked down at her feet as she said this and pulled Hope closer to her as if hoping he would protect her from what ever Kyle had in store for her.

Ai watched as a girl came over to them. She stared at her jealously as she talked to Kyle. Why wasn't he answering her? Something was very wrong with him. Ai placed a hand on his shoulder. "Kyle why won't you talk to me? I want to know what's wrong."

The forbidding sky swirled with dark, billowing masses that rolled violently about to form a churning wall of heavy, bloated clouds. Wind flitted amongst the shivering trees to taunt them of the imminent shower, and the heavens groaned mightily, threatening release their burden upon the ground in a heavy torrent as swollen clouds blocked out the last light of day from the gloomy earth. Shadows reigned victorious beneath the warring sky, and water pelted the terrain in scattered sheets. Beads of rain streaked the window like thick tears from above, and Kyle stared fretfully through the mess from his seat inside the warm shop, straining helplessly to see in the dim, obscured scene. Hurriedly, he recovered his cell phone from the pocket of his coat and wondered if Allie had decided not to come. She would have called him by now, though, if that was the case. His thumb toyed agitatedly with the keys as he tried to decide whether or not to call her. If she was on the road, his calling would only put her in more danger, but he needed to warn her. If he could just tell her to stay home… Kyle looked again to the bleak surroundings and flinched as a small voice addressed him. Was she here already? A smile flew carelessly across his features, but disappeared just as suddenly at the sight of the unfamiliar girl standing before him. A frustrated sigh escaped him, and he scrunched against the far wall, giving the girl an incredulous look as she sat close down beside him. He strained to pull farther away from the stranger as she scooted closer to his side, but found it impossible, settling instead upon glaring at the intrusive girl. He growled angrily to himself and decided to ignore her, his current work far too important to be forsaken due to such a trifle annoyance. Another car pulled in through the thick rain, and Kyle studied it eagerly, only allowing it to pass by unchecked once he made sure that it wasn’t Allie’s. The crisp chiming of a bell announced the arrival of the new customer, and rain poured in through the door until it was closed behind them. Focused purely on the situation outside, he kept his back to all of this and tried to make out Allie’s thoughts in all of the rush. He heard a small whisper of her voice, when he was again interrupted. He tried to regain the connection, but it simply crackled and slipped away altogether. A boiling pressure built up beneath his skin, and he stared through the window trying to make out anything in the darkness. It was impossible. He felt the girl brush against him and tensed furiously. There was no way that he would be able to find Allie in all of this chaos! Why couldn’t they just leave him alone?? Why did he have to be so helpless? His teeth clamped resolutely together as he scanned once more for any sign of Allie or the others. Soggy footsteps echoed behind him, and the incessant sound of dripping water drove his mind wild as he attempted to make contact. It was hard enough to hear thoughts from this far away, and these constant distractions were keeping him from even the smallest hope of achieving this goal. His name was called once more, and Kyle snapped toward the direction of the voice, determined to eliminate this aggravation once and for all. “What??” he demanded, barely recognizing the small, soaked figure. Kyle recoiled at the expression on Kikyo’s face and struggled to find a calmer balance for his voice before speaking again. “I’m sorry… I didn’t know it was you. Ummm, I’m alright I suppose. How are you?” He grinned weakly at her, unable to push fear for Allie’s safety from his mind. Heavy rain continued to bludgeon the roof, and the wind grew steadily stronger. Now Nathan was not nearly the biggest threat. He again glanced at his phone, wishing that she had stayed home and just forgotten to call. He felt the stranger’s hand on his shoulder and heard her words with little amusement. “Seriously, who the hell are you? I’m actually kind of busy right now. If you don’t mind, I really need you to leave me alone.” Kyle pushed deftly by her as he climbed from the booth to join Kikyo. He frowned again at the stranger as if judging her sanity for a moment and then turned to the shaking girl, his hand holding up a soaked fold of her clothing. He needed to get her dried before she became ill, but he couldn’t just leave without Allie. Kyle groaned to himself, several scenes playing out in his mind. Anything he did at this point would probably upset Allie again if she found them. Closing his eyes in defeat, he tried to think through the situation. There was nothing that he could do for either of them at this point without risking some harm to the other. Pulling his coat off, he placed it around Kikyo’s shoulders and led her to the front of the building so that he had a closer view of the parking lot. "Sit down," he said gently, taking the seat across from her. "Sorry that I can't do more, but I am waiting for someone. Are you alright?"

Waiting for Kyle’s reply Kikyo starred vacantly out the rain pelted window and at the trees beyond the parking lot. They were swaying fiercely as the wind from the storm began to pick up. Kikyo imagined herself sitting outside the gym in this weather, it was a good thing Sanna had picked her up, Kikyo would have ended up with pneumonia, or worse. Kikyo half shivered, half flinched at Kyle’s snappy demand, and she prepared herself so the worst, closing her eyes and hoping it would just end. Why did I come and talk to him? “Oh, sorry!” she sneezed preparing to turn but then he spoke again and she opened her eyes, stroking Hopen with her right pointer finger. He wasn’t nearly as wet as her, because he had been hiding in her jacket the entire time. Kikyo watched Kyle check his phone, he was worried and probably mad at her, she sneezed as he turned to a girl Kikyo had never seen before, she half smiled as he barked at the girl. She was even more surprised as he stood up and walked toward her, attempting not to pull away Kikyo watched in silence. She heard him groan as he reached her, Kikyo looked back to her feet and felt a tear trickle down her cheek, she brushed it away hastily, she was a burden to him, and she should leave before she made matters worse. Then he did the strangest thing, Kyle pulled his jacket off and put it around her shoulders, she looked up at him mouth slightly open in surprise, she had expected him to say a simple hello and wave her off, or shout for her to get out, she hadn’t expected this. Before she could say anything on the matter he was leading her toward a table toward the front of the shop, mouth still slightly open Kikyo pulled the jacket around her shoulders more tightly and inhaled deeply. He smelled like spices, mainly cinnamon, Kikyo loved the smell of cinnamon. She smiled to herself and felt him gently coax her into a chair, she shivered at his touch but she didn’t flinch away. She watched him plant himself in the chair across from her, he stared out the window a minute. Kikyo sniffed, as Kyle turned to look at her, annoyed and if possible anger Kikyo felt her small smile disappeared, to be replaced by the usual look of misery. She stared out the window watching the storm for a moment, only when a strike of lightening and a clap of thunder make her sneeze and flinch comically did Kikyo turn to answer him. She inhaled the scent of cinnamon off his coat again as she answered, “I’m sorry to burden you like this, fine, um I guess so, I just caught a cold is all, and it’s my Birthday,” she half whispered the last part, she hated admitting her weakness, only her emotions betrayed her. Knowing Kyle he would either read her mind or get her to spill her guts about being homeless. She couldn’t look at him, so instead she stared out the window. He was annoyed, and burdened by her, but it didn’t need to be that way. “You don’t half to do this Kyle, I know you don’t like me.” Kikyo whispered gesturing to the coat around her shoulders.

Kyle turned helplessly toward the window to look for Allie, his worry for her intensifying with every moment that the torrential rain poured from the sky with no sign of her. His fingers drummed rapidly on the granite table, and he felt his mind drifting away as if trying to seek her out by itself. Her thoughts had been wiped utterly from the air, and he glared again at his cell phone, cursing himself for calling her out into this mess. If she was hurt, it would be entirely his fault. She would never have tried to brave something like this if he hadn’t been expecting her. His hand curled into a fist around the device as he tried to make up his mind about what to do. He had to find her! It would only make him a nervous wreck if he sat here waiting. He had to do something, but what was there? If he went to look for her, it was likely that they would just pass right by each other on the road, and she would arrive at an empty shop, frustrated and in the same danger that she faced now. But what if she was home? He could go there and put himself at ease, knowing they were all safe. What would he do with Kikyo, though? He absolutely refused to leave her, but what was the alternative? Surely he couldn’t bring her to his girlfriend’s house! The two weren’t exactly on good terms, and it would be much safer for the relationship if Allie found them here: in a public place where she was expected to arrive at any moment. A sneeze startled him, and Kyle blinked at Kikyo with an abashed expression, portraying quite clearly that he had forgotten her presence amidst the internal debate. The small girl sat before him- utterly enveloped in his thick, leather jacket- and stared back at him with the same expression of surprise and anxiousness that played upon his own features. At her words, he smiled softly and rested his arms across the table, Allie momentarily pushed from his worrying mind. “Don’t worry about it. Seriously, what kind of person do you think I am? You’re not a burden, really. I am just waiting for someone. It’s the least I could do,” he spoke carefully, his expression fading at her next words. I know you don’t like me… He settled back into his seat and looked again out the window, the remark stinging him slightly. Was that what she had thought all along? He supposed he hadn’t been so kind when he was younger, but that was just the way he had treated everyone. He had never meant anything against her. He had been stupid… confused… angry. Kyle sighed and glanced at her, wanting to say something but finding himself completely out of inspiration. Why was it that he could never help people when they needed it most? No matter how hard he tried, he was always stuck- always having to worry about someone else or what he was going to do. Why couldn’t he just do as he needed? Why did he always have to worry about what people would think when he was losing something so much more important than peoples’ respect? The boy leaned his head against the freezing glass and wished that this would all end. How could people expect him to help them and to do what is right if they didn’t even trust him? No matter what he did, he was betraying someone, and they were both slipping away as he sat here so idly. He wished that they could just work together… just believe in him for once rather than make him suffer for doing what is proper. Kikyo was sick; she was upset and she needed him. Allie was in danger, and his heart was rightfully hers. Who was he supposed to choose? Kikyo shrank into his coat, shivering beneath the thick layers, and he clenched his jaw in anxiety. He hated this feeling... this helplessness. How could he just let her grow weaker before his eyes without lifting a finger? How could he let Allie go on struggling without even attempting to rescue her? Every choice he made had a consequence now, and he was running out of time. Standing hastily up, he walked to the door in a brisk, refreshing sweep. He could drop Kikyo off at his house… There was medicine and warmth. If he could get her there before this got any worse, at least that would be one relieved stress. If he hurried, he might be able to catch up with Allie. Sighing deeply, he paced back to where the girl sat and kneeled down to look at her, her sallow face making him slightly uneasy. He grasped her hand gently and pulled her up from her seat with care. “Kikyo, please don’t say that I don’t like you…” he begged. “You were my friend before all of this happened and look. We’re still here together. You just need to trust me. Allie is out there, and I need to find her before something happens to her on my account. I am going to drive you to the house where Celia can take care of you, but I need to go after that. I wish I could stay, but I just can’t be there for everyone at once. You both need me now, and I am doing the best that I can… Just don’t ever think that I’ve abandoned you.”
((OOC: Oh, man. And he hasn't even started worrying about Josh and Jessica yet. I swear this kid is going to have a nervous breakdown before he turns twenty.))

Kikyo watched Kyle is silence as he raged on with his eternal battle, she vaguely comprehended what he was thinking, it was not one of her talents but she could tell he was in some distress. She would shut up now before she made matters worse. All the while the storm outside raged on, though it appeared to have reached its peak, meaning it wouldn’t be long before things calmed down again. Kikyo sensed Kyle becoming tenser with each passing moment, he would start hyperventilating if he didn’t watch it, she though slyly, stroking Hope’s smooth fur with her free hand. She waited for his answer, decision, or collapse. Each scene played out in her mind, most ridiculous but anything was possible, Kikyo reminded herself. Kikyo gave another involuntary shiver at the thought of one scenario. Allie dead, killed in a car crash, just like Roxanne, but that wouldn’t happen, that couldn’t happen. Even though Kikyo wasn’t all fuzzy warm with Allie, the thought of Allie’s mangled body, much like Roxanne’s would be horrible, and unbearable to endure, for Kyle mainly. You were my friend before all of this happened and look. We’re still here together. You just need to trust me. Kikyo listened to his comforting words, searching for the meaning behind each word, each sentence. Just don’t ever think that I’ve abandoned you. Not anymore, he was here with her now, comforting her and even taking her someplace a shelter where she could get medicine that might take a week for a broke 18 year old to obtain. Sanna was way to busy making small but annoyingly flirty talk with a young guy behind the counter. Kikyo wouldn’t be missed. She followed him out into the stormy weather which had calmed down slightly, just as she had predicted. She followed Kyle to the shiny black car, only slightly hampered by the storm and coated with a few leaves. Kikyo looked around the lot at the trouble the storm had and was causing. Leaves blown everywhere, a stop sign slightly bend, and a few trees with missing branches were the most noticeable. She thanked Kyle as he opened the door on the passenger side for her. Kikyo slide gratefully into the warm interior of the car, slipping Hope into a protruding pocket. She watched Kyle quickly circle back to the driver side and slip in front of the wheel. Silently Kikyo watched him turn the key and the definite roar as the car came to life. “Thank-you Kyle,” Kikyo whispered turning slightly to her normal self, but still having to repress a sneeze. “So, what’s your plan?”

She just wanted to know if he was ok. Ai followed the two out the door and waited for the girl to be inside the car before turning to Kyle. 'Im sorry if your upset. I just want to help. Please. Jessica silently played with her hands, Josh carelessly driving throughout the city. This just wasn't right, spying on Kyle for entertainment. Of course, everyone else had good reason. Nathan despised Kyle to infinity, whilst Josh probably wanted to stick his nose into unneeded information. Jessica had no reason. He had looked after her in many ways like a father whilst her parents were away (Which occurred more than often), and treated her better than anyone else. But recently he seemed to have more of a happier aura, in some way's like he had meet a new girlfriend. However, it was always Josh who brought back a different girl every night, not Kyle, who would have to stay out of his room for the remainder of the day. Moving her hand to clasp Nathan's, Jessica stared at him with a pained expression. How and why had she agreed to this? It seemed so inhumane to her usual personality and nature... Desperate to loose the killing thoughts, she began to rest her head on his warm shoulder, slowly reaching up to peck at his cheek. If only they turned back home, deciding it was cruel on Kyle to endlessly spy on him. The chance of Nathan changing his mind was however incredibly low, even if Jessica started crying and bailing about it. There was no way out. Why she agreed yesterday to the plan her could not fit together within the puzzle. Jessica would just have to hope that nothing eye-catching was shown. It was very suprising that Kyle hadn't confronted Jessica with this, he seemed so strict a lot of the times that it frightened her. That cold, steamy, glare pierced straight into the heart, although inside was a young man, who tried to keep Jessica's interests best at heart. Just how long would it be until the slipped away? With the presence of Nathan, it was obvious to see that Kyle was ignoring them. They were as bad as each other, but why they could not see this Jessica wondered. A bitter tension. A sorrow cry. That's all she ever thought about when they started argueing. Jessica quickly closed her pale eyelids, almost drifting into an eternal sleep. At least it would keep her away from the problems just a few minutes away.
=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ We are here, you know. Jessica opened her eyes, never once fallen into sleep. She had woken up earlier to spend the morning with Nathan (Also having to pretend to Josh that Nathan was coming over), and the night was completed of endless thoughts about Kyle. Jessica turned around to look out the window, instantly seeing Kyle. Josh and Nathan quickly noticed her staring blankly ahead of him, nothing yet suspicious or weird. He silently sat in the shop, nothing around him catching his eye. Suddenly, a girl scuttled to the seat next to him. Jessica watched in anticipation, Kyle's face seeming confused and lost. Josh... She quietly said, her hand still grasped between Nathans, Who is she?

Nathan's green eyes pierced through the darkness as a fiery red tail swished behind him on the worn rug. His maw curled into a tiny grin, revealing a jagged row of sharp teeth behind black lips, and his nose twitched at the scent of his departing foe. The floorboards squeaked, and Nathan could almost see the man pausing just on the other side of the door. For Kyle, it was too late to bother with precautions... They were both fully aware of that, but somehow the moment passed almost as a silent acknowledgment between the two. Everything around them seemed to fall into stillness, and he could hear nothing apart from Jessica's soft breathing at the other end of the room. A single thought struck both of the tacit rivals simultaneously and filled the air around him with a current of fear. Kyle could end this right now. Despite the consequences, all that truly stood between them this very second was a flimsy door, and Nathan, in this form, would be utterly defenseless to stop him. Emerald eyes widened slightly and silky, red hair glimmered in the moonlight as it stood on end. The deliberated second of uncertainty vanished when the floorboards groaned again with his opponent's movement, and the fox flinched, his tail twitching back into a steady beat. His breath returned to him in a muffled laugh once Kyle had passed out of range, and Nathan's gleaming orbs turned on the girl. She was more instrumental in this than he had earlier conceived. As long as Jessica was around (and mercifully on his side), Kyle wouldn't lay a hand on him. Even after all that she had done, the man still respected his little sister's wishes. How sweet... He grinned once more at the door before padding over to her bed and hopping gently up to where she lay. 'Wake up,' he thought, nudging her pale cheek with his nose. The girl's blue eyes fluttered open and stared blankly at him. 'You know what to do...' his greedy smile communicated as he continued to push her anxiously from the bed. She got sleepily to her feet, and Nathan dashed out the door once she had pulled it open, only to fly down the stairs of the abandoned house and leap through the dog flap that led to the driveway. By the time he had arrived, Kyle was already gone- the tires of his car squealing against the pavement as he sped down the thin road. Perfect! The fox's bright coat flashed in the early morning light as he took off toward the shed, transforming into his human state the second he was safely enclosed behind their doors. Throwing on the clothes that he had set aside, he ambled outside and glanced around for any sight of Josh or Jessica. It was all clear. Now he just had to wait. If everything according to plan, they would be out of here in a matter of minutes and on their way to finding out what that fool was up to. Nathan peered in through the bay window as he passed across the lawn on the way to entrance, but saw no movement in the dark living room. What was she doing? He waited there a moment until thick beads of water began plummeting to the ground all around him, before diving at last under the protection of the awning. “Come on, Jessica!!” he growled to himself, impatiently ringing the doorbell.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Nathan sat in the back seat, rain dripping from his messy, wet hair and pooling against his skin through the soaked folds of clothing. Josh continued recklessly onward through the driving torrents, and he could feel Jessica’s eyes searching him as he brooded. A lowery frown as dark as the sky outside clouded his features, and Nathan tensed angrily at her touch. They were late. Kyle could have left already. He sighed as Jessica’s head fell on his shoulder, but couldn’t help relaxing when he glimpsed her peacefully sleeping face. Thin fingers wound around her hand as he glared at the road ahead through the downpour. They were almost there. Nathan spotted Kyle immediately, and he tore his hand from Jessica's in order to undo his seat buckle. Climbing into the front seat, he watched the man conversing with a black-haired girl inside the café. “Awww, isn’t that just darling?” Nathan smirked. “Mr. Self-Righteous has a little girlfriend. How long do you bet he’s been sneaking off to see her like this?” The boy glanced to Josh who was laughing in hearty amusement despite his obvious shock. “Yeah, I know. Never would have thought that he had it in him, right?” He glowered at the two inside, all humor gone from his smile as they got up. “I wonder where they are off to now,” he spat. “After all that he said to you, Jessica… all this time he has been looking down on me. Who does he think he is?? He’s been worse than us all along! What a pig!” Grinning once more, his hand found the door latch. “I have to go do something.”
((OOC: Ah, okay. Kikyo's and Andrea's posts kind of conflict with each other. Kikyo, you don't have to edit your post, but they haven't gotten into the car yet. The note at the end is a text message by the way.)) Kyle offered a preoccupied nod in response Kikyo's thanks as they hurried out of the warm shop into a barrage of freezing, pelting rain. A familiar voice flitted through the air and he stopped, the volley of raindrops drenching him almost instantly. Nathan was there. Kikyo hovered by his side, and he grasped at the sleeve of her coat without once taking his eyes off the familiar shape of his brother's car. Drawing the girl close to his side to shield her from the rain, he hurried over to the parked car. Nathan's red hair was unmistakable even in the dim light, and Kyle easily tore the passenger door open as the mutant boy started to open it on his own. Kyle grabbed the boy's shirt and forced him out of the car so that Kikyo could take his seat. "She's sick," he told Josh, ignoring the struggling boy at the end of his arm. "I am counting on you to take her home. Can I trust you with that or do you still want to spy on me?" He stared at the three of them for a moment before at last shutting the door and dragging the thrashing boy behind him. He watched the sporty red car back slowly from its place and only released his grip on Nathan once they were well out of sight. "You're coming with me. Just get in the backseat. I have to pick someone up." Kyle grinned at the boy whose face twisted in hatred as he at last realized he had no other choice but to obey. With Nathan shuffling stubbornly behind, Kyle strode to the car and was stopped only when a fragile voice addressed him over the drumming of the rain. His initial response to the hindrance was agitation, but it soon abated to hilarity at her last words. Forcing a somber grin to cover his laughter, Kyle tried to comprehend exactly what she had just said. "I've never heard that line before... Seriously, though. There is absolutely nothing that you could do for me at this point. I would love to invite you along- it's going to be one hell of a ride, and I'm already running a transport service- but I don't even know who you are. And, anyway, I am kind of in a hurry," he said in a rush. "Uh, so long then. Why don't you go inside.... It's sort of sprinkling." Rain poured from the rumbling sky in sheets, and Kyle dove inside the car without a single word of response from his odd, new acquaintance. With Kikyo and his siblings taken care of, he could relax a little. Allie was safe from Nathan at least... now he just had to find her. "What is your problem, little boy?" he asked the furious red head in the backseat. "I am sorry to break up the party, but there was no way that I would send Kikyo home with you. Anyway, I should be the one mad at you!" He backed out of the parking lot and grinned whole-heartedly at the sulking figure of his enemy in the backseat. "Oh, and I know what you said. First of all, she's not my girlfriend... She's Josh's. Second, I didn't sneak off. It's my house, so I can leave when I want. And third, Mr. Self-Righteous? It's a bit pretentious, don't you think? I can go with that, though. You should call me by it more often." Kyle picked his phone from his pocket to try contacting Allie before at last going on his mission. 'Stay where you are. I am coming to get you. Just give me a call, and I'll pick you up.'

((OOC: Notice- Due to the Rabbit's prolonged absence, it has been decided that the character of "Kikyo" should be reappointed to a more active member. The administrators- Iris and myself- are going to roleplay her until a more suitable owner is found. We apologize for any incovience, and our posts might be a bit rough. Sorry once again.))
Kikyo suddenly died. Rejoice Joke xD
Kikyo walked outside with Kyle. He suddenly took the sleeve of her coat, dragging her closer to him, the rain beating haevily. Her heart skipped a beat, as she saw a red haired boy suddenly dragged outside into the rain, whilst she was pushed in. She looked at Josh, and Jessica, while Kyle stormed off with the boy. Kikyo began to look at the dark, grey ky.
